B2B Service Responsibilities Summary

For Business Customers Only

This document provides a plain English summary of key responsibilities for business customers using My Check Call. It does not replace our Terms and Conditions or B2B Addendum, which remain legally binding.

1. Duty of Care Remains with the Employer

Business customers retain full responsibility for:

  • Health and safety obligations
  • Lone worker risk assessments
  • Supervision and control of work activities

My Check Call supports welfare monitoring but does not replace employer duties under health and safety law or HSE guidance.

2. Risk Assessment and Planning

Business customers are responsible for:

  • Identifying lone working risks
  • Determining appropriate control measures
  • Deciding whether My Check Call is suitable for specific activities

The Service should be used as one supporting control, not the sole safety measure.

3. Rostering and Scheduling

Accurate and timely rostering is critical.

Business customers must:

  • Provide correct shift details in advance
  • Notify changes within reasonable timeframes
  • Ensure check-call schedules reflect actual working patterns

Late or inaccurate rostering may result in:

  • Missed check calls
  • Limited escalation
  • Suspension of service for affected shifts

4. Subscriptions Are Per Person

Subscriptions are:

  • Per individual, not per shift or per role

Each person using the Service — including temporary, relief, or agency staff — must have their own active subscription.

Unsubscribed individuals are not covered by the Service.

5. Use of the Service

Business customers must ensure:

  • Workers understand how and when to complete check calls
  • Emergency contacts are aware of their role
  • Workers do not rely solely on the Service in an emergency

Optional reminder and support features are available but must be purchased separately.

6. Non-Reliance on the Service

Business customers confirm that:

  • The Service is not relied upon as the primary means of managing lone worker safety
  • Other safeguards and procedures remain in place

7. Compliance and Consequences

Failure to comply with service requirements may result in:

  • Operational surcharges
  • Suspension of Services
  • Termination in accordance with our Terms

8. Further Information

Business customers should review:

  • Terms and Conditions
  • B2B Addendum
  • Incident & Escalation Procedures
